Beach waves / soft perm. Loose, irregular waves that recall hair after a day at the beach. Ideal if you want movement and texture with minimal styling in the morning.
Body wave. Large, soft waves that add body and volume to straight or "limp" hair. It does not read as a curl, but as hair with more life.
Spiral / classic curls. More defined, corkscrew curls, usually on medium or long hair. The curl size is chosen with you so it suits your face and haircut.

A perm suits anyone with straight or slightly wavy hair who wants lasting texture, volume or curl without daily styling. It is also a good solution for fine hair that falls flat quickly and for anyone tired of the blow-dryer and the straightener. It is not recommended for hair that is already very sensitive, broken or recently lightened to a high level, without first strengthening the hair.
Every perm at the atelier starts with a hair consultation and, where needed, a strand test. We check elasticity, porosity, the thickness of the hair and your history of colour and chemical services. The strand test — a trial on a small, hidden section — shows us how your hair will react before we apply the technique to the whole head. This way we choose the right solution and decide honestly whether a perm is the right choice for you today.
A perm on coloured hair is usually possible, while on lightened hair it is done only with caution and after a consultation. Colour on its own is rarely an obstacle, provided the hair is in good condition. On lightened hair, balayage or highlights, the hair is more vulnerable, so we may suggest a gentler approach, applying it to only part of the hair, or a strengthening treatment first. If your hair cannot take it, we will tell you.
For the first 48 hours after your perm, avoid washing, hair ties, clips and grips. During this time the curl shape "sets". After that, choose a gentle sulphate-free shampoo, a rich conditioner and styling with your fingers or a diffuser instead of a brush. Avoid straighteners, which cancel out the wave, and limit heat.
A women's perm usually lasts 3–6 months, depending on your hair type, length, curl type and care. The curl does not "drop" suddenly; it relaxes gradually and, as your hair grows, the root comes through straight. With a maintenance cut and the right care, the shape stays beautiful for longer. A root perm lasts less visibly, because the volume moves away from the scalp as the hair grows.
